HB 2405 Compliance

Here's what you need to post for your organized Undergraduate classes (not labs, independent studies, lessons, etc.):

For each class, post a Syllabus that:
· provides a brief description of each major course requirement, including each major assignment and examination;
· lists any required or recommended reading; and
· provides a general description of the subject matter of each lecture or discussion

If you already have a faculty information page then your fall classes have already been loaded. Just attach your syllabus in a PDF format as soon as you can. You can always go back and change the syllabus if you need to. Instructions on uploading your syllabus to your faculty profile are attached to this email. For an idea of how a syllabus might look, we have attached a sample.

For each of those classes, also post the instructor's Curriculum Vitae that lists:
· postsecondary education;
· teaching experience; and
· significant professional publications

Many of you already have your vita posted. Chairs, if there are new instructors this semester, please make sure they are in the Faculty Profile System by September 2nd.

Also attached are tutorials on setting up a faculty profile, activating the profile, editing the profile, requesting upload of courses to the profile, and loading syllabi to the profile, as well as the text of HB 2504, with the sections on Curriculum Vitae and Syllabi requirements highlighted in yellow.

If there are any questions regarding any of these processes, or if your course falls within the requirements, please contact the Institutional Research & Effectiveness Office at 940.565.2085 or email irdept@unt.edu
