The John C. Creuzot Scholarship (1997-2013)
The Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies enormously appreciates the support Judge Creuzot provided to our scholarship program from fall 1997 to spring 2013.
In fall 1997 the University of North Texas created a scholarship fund in honor of John. C. Cruezot, a distinguished graduate of the UNT Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies. The scholarship provided $500 per semester ($1,000 annually) to the recipient. The award continues from semester to semester as long as the recepient makes satisfactory progress toward the degree. Upon graduation, a search began for a new recipient. The award was intended for undergraduate philosophy majors. In the event that no undergraduate philosophy major was eligible, the pool of candidates was enlarged to include graduate philosophy majors and in the event that no graduate philosophy major is eligible, to students enrolled full-time in the College of Arts and Sciences.
