Graduate: Gene Hargrove Graduate Fellowship (May 30 Deadline)
The fellowship, first established in fall 2013, provides $1000 to the recipient. Depending on the income available from the endowment, one or more graduate students in the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies at the University of North Texas in the College of Arts and Sciences will be given the fellowship each year. Graduate students in good standing in the department as well as incoming graduate students are eligible to receive the fellowship. The fellowship will be awarded on the basis of academic performance standards and financial need.
Undergraduate: Samuel and Mabel Danford Scholarship in Religious Studies (June 1 Deadline)
The Samuel and Mabel Danford Scholarship in Religious Studies Fund is a fund created by Robert and Virginia Toulouse in honor of Samuel and Mabel Danford, Mrs. Virginia Toulouse's parents, to provide scholarships for undergraduate students in the Religious Studies Program at the University of North Texas in the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies. Graduate: Richardson Environmental Action League (R.E.A.L.) Fellowship (September & December Deadline)
This $1000 scholarship is provided by the Richardson Environmental Action League, which began in spring 1973 and is the oldest continously operating volunteer recycling organization in the state of Texas. Undergraduate: John Kimmey Memorial Scholarship
The John Kimmey Scholar is the undergraduate honoree at Honor's Day and receives a stipend of $500. The award is made in the spring semester each year.
Undergraduate: Continential Philosophy Scholarship in Honor of Richard Owsley (Essays due Spring Semester)
A scholarship in honor of Professor Richard Owsley has been developed within the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies at the University of North Texas. When the fund generates income, an annual award of $500 will be given to one recipient each year.
